The audio tracks on the Criterion and the Italian Lucky Red blu-rays are basically the same. Possibly some slight differences in EQ, but no real audible differences.
Site note: The gamma on the Italian blu-ray is incorrect. Video compression on it isn't necessarily better, too, despite its higher bitrate.

ReplyDeleteCriterion & Carlotta BDs are basically the same too, with an ever so slight EQ difference that's not audible to me at least: https://slow.pics/c/ATiGXlaN
ReplyDeleteCarlotta is encoded by FiM (and at a significantly higher bitrate than Criterion: 35 vs 23.9 Mbps), so that's the best option now if one is able to sync English subtitles to it (-14848 ms from Criterion to Carlotta).
