Watership Down (1978)
1994 Warner LaserDisc [34003]: Quite murky, with clear signs of destructive mastering work.
2002 R2 Warner DVD - Snapper Edition: This sounds spectacular. Presumably a flat/minimally EQed transfer of the magnetic elements.
2008 R2 Warner DVD - Deluxe Edition: Significant noise reduction - though often less than the LaserDisc - and also narrower, losing much of the directional dialogue. Every subsequent release is based on this mastering.
2015 Criterion Blu-ray: Like the DE DVD.
2016 Concorde Video Blu-ray: Like the DE DVD.
2024 BFI UHD Blu-ray: Like the DE DVD with some light limiting.
