1983 CBS/Fox LaserDisc [4604-80]: Dupey and lacking detail.
1986 Japanese Warner LaserDisc [10JL-99211]: The copy captured and shared with me is significantly cleaner than the earlier LaserDisc, so it has less distortion, but for the most part it's even less detailed.
1991 MGM LaserDisc [ML101788]: Excellent. Probably a minimally mastered rendition of the original magnetic materials.
1993 MGM Japanese LaserDisc [NJEL-52731]: Like the 1991 US LaserDisc.
1995 MGM Hi-Fi VHS: Like the 1991 US LaserDisc.
2000 R1 MGM DVD - Special Edition: Strong global noise reduction compared to the '91 LaserDisc. It's missing excerpts, including at 1:48:23 (blu-ray timecode) the line, "I told you that crowd would discourage them" and at 2:01:33, "His brotherhood also have exotic ways to keep it a closed shop".
2006 R1 MGM DVD - Ultimate Edition: Even more noise reduction than the SE DVD.
2012 MGM Blu-ray: The mastering work on the mono track varies sectionally: everything until 19:44 has moderate hiss and bass removal and harsh EQ, 19:44 to 54:50 sounds much worse (somewhere in between the SE and UE DVDs), 54:50 to 1:12:03 again sounds like the first section, 1:12:03 to 1:32:44 sounds poor again, and the last section varies from moment to moment. The 1991 LaserDisc is preferable in every way.
