On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)

The 5.1 mix is an abomination. Quite hilariously, the front dialogue is directional, which is extremely odd for a modern remix. But wait, it also has many distracting phase issues! And lots of new Foley and other absurd effect changes!

Overall, this is one of the worst Bond remixes, which is really saying something.

  1. It’s also my least favorite of the UE/BD 5.1 Mixes, all the mono era (pre The Spy Who Loved Me) sound pretty bad.
At least from TSWLM all the way up to License to Kill were mixed in Dolby Stereo. (TSWLM is Dolby Stereo but makes no notice of it.)

    1. And yes TSWLM was mixed in stereo,And the stereo mix was played during the premiere, it’s just like the mono prints were made because UA or Cubby was a bit too cheap.
