The 5.1 track on the blu-ray is awful. Extremely phasey, with the score, dialogue, and sound effects (all taken straight from the mono mix) ping-ponging between the channels.
The only version of this that sounds good is the 192 kbps AC-3 mono track on the remastered DVD (the one using the same restoration as the blu-ray) -- it sounds excellent. All previous editions, however, sound shrill, distorted, and dupey.
