Here's a pleasant surprise.

Criterion blu-ray booklet:

The monaural soundtrack was remastered from a 35 mm sound negative and a 35 mm positive print.

The Criterion blu-ray sounds great. In fact, it looks like no additional clean-up was done to audio used for the 2010 Criterion DVD, so it sounds the same.

The 2007 Cinéart DVD (part of a 5-disc Chantal Akerman box set) sounds awful. It's been scrubbed very aggressively.
