The Optimum blu-ray sounds truly awful--not much detail above ~6 kHz. Everything is very hollow and dead-sounding. The Criterion DVD, while not perfect, sounds much less muffled.
The Optimum DVD sounds better than the Optimum blu-ray, but not nearly as good as the Criterion DVD.
