The Arrow blu-ray is clearer and less muffled than the TF1. The TF1 is decent, though -- if all modern restorations had its level of noise reduction, I would be quite satisfied.

Diabolique (1955)
The old Arrow (not shown below) and Criterion DVDs sound the worst, having the most noise reduction. The Criterion blu-ray has less, the Arrow blu-ray has none at all, and the TF1 blu-ray (of the 4K restoration) falls somewhere between these two blu-rays. All were sourced from the same sound elements and differ mainly by the amount of noise reduction applied to them.
