Tokyo Twilight (1957)

The old Shochiku and Tartan DVDs and the Amazon Video download sound the same: no filtering whatsoever, detailed, and often a bit distorted. The Criterion DVD is similar, but has some noise reduction. All four of these use the same audio transfer, which has some unfortunate high-frequency flutter throughout the entire film.

But the new Shochiku blu-ray is much, much worse.
