Criss Cross (1949)

The old R1 Universal DVD is pitched lower than the others. It and the pre-Shout blu-rays are derived from the same audio transfer, which sounds dupey. The Shout Factory disc is hardly perfect (it's barely even decent, objectively), but its audio track was transferred from a lower-generation source and does sound better--noticeably clearer and a lower/cleaner noise floor. Even with Shout's trademark clipping, it's an improvement.
