Unfortunately, the 2.0 track provided on the blu-ray is rolled-off and a bit muffled compared to the 5.1. The R1 DVD, however, sounds as clear as the blu-ray 5.1. The R2 DVD sounds audibly worse. The LaserDisc sounds a bit dull, some scenes more than others.
I KNEW something was off about the remix, I also noticed gunshots were dulled significantly in the remix, the 2.0 track provided isn't the best but I still call it an improvement
ReplyDeleteI own the 1987 LaserDisc with only the analog audio track. Two other editions were released with digital track. I wonder if there's a difference in the mix between analog and digital audio.
