Kiss Me Deadly (1955)

Every edition released since the 1997 MGM LaserDisc sounds more or less the same - quite muffled and dead-sounding. The Criterion blu-ray has slightly more high-frequency extension throughout the main body of the movie, but its last ~3 minutes sound worse. The Carlotta blu-ray and the German 'Explosive Media' blu-ray share the same audio mastering as the Criterion, which makes sense since everything was done in-house at Criterion.

I'm curious if the 1993 MGM LaserDisc with the cut version of the film sounds better.
