Lost Horizon (1937)

1987 RCA/Columbia Hi-Fi: A few scenes sound more natural than they do in the blu-ray, but for the most part this track has noticeably less detail. It has a much higher constant noise floor.

1999 Columbia TriStar DVD: Frequently more muffled than the VHS tape due to noise reduction.

2016 Via Vision Entertainment Blu-ray: Sony's new restoration appears to use a reworking of the audio transfer used for the DVD, with significantly less aggressive noise management. It still sounds a bit murky during quiet scenes, but this is one of the better sounding Capra restorations. This disc was released in Australia.

2017 Sony Blu-ray: Identical to the Australian blu-ray.
