1985 MCA LaserDisc [40110]: Natural sounding and shows no traces of being sourced from inferior elements, but it lacks a bit of detail overall. I'd really like to hear one of the '80s-'90s Hi-Fi tapes (one predating the 1995 Alfred Hitchcock Collection VHS).
2005 R1 Universal DVD - Masterpiece Collection: Some moderate hiss reduction. Underwhelming overall. The gunshots have been made louder and their high-frequencies are shorn off.
2013 Universal Blu-ray: Very strong noise reduction. This sounds poor.
2023 Universal UHD Blu-ray: Reverts back to the DVD-era mastering.
this is shocking, pretty much in almost all of the other instances the 4K version would recycle whatever track was on the BD
