2007 Criterion DVD: A fair amount of noise reduction and EQ that boosts the lower mids.
2010 Masters of Cinema Blu-ray: Excellent - no noise reduction whatsoever. Cleaner underlying elements than Fires on the Plain.
2025 Carlotta Films Blu-ray: More noise reduction than the Criterion DVD and a noise gate that makes the residual hiss subtly cut in and out. I suspect this is the track Nikkatsu/the Japan Foundation completed recently.
2025 Criterion UHD Blu-ray: This appears to be based on Criterion's older audio transfer, but it's a new mastering. I'd say it generally has the most noise reduction of any of these, though it's EQ is better than the Criterion DVD's.
