Ashes and Diamonds (1958)

The audio track on the Arrow and Polish Pro-Motion blu-rays sound the same. The latter is encoded as 5.1, but only has two valid channels.

...Which is to say they have as much noise reduction applied as their video--some of the strongest I've ever encountered. Everything sounds like it's underwater.

The Criterion DVD sounds excellent. Yet, I wouldn't be surprised if it was sourced from the same audio elements.

Here's hoping Milestone receives a better master to work with.
