On the Milestone blu-ray:
The 5.1 track isn't really a 5.1 mix, thankfully. The left and right channels are identical, and the center channel is the same but louder (normalised to -2.2 dB, not compressed).
The surround-left, surround-right, and LFE channels are empty in the film proper, but have some activity during the opening (modern) KADR logo. This short sequence is also the only reason why BDInfo logs will report the track as having 24 bits -- remove these 17 seconds and the rest of the film plays at a constant 16 bits.
So it's basically mono, anyway.
The Second Sight DVD, released in 2012, uses the same restoration and audio track. It discards the modern opening KADR logo and the SL, SR, and LFE channels, and is left with the L, R, and C channels in a 3.0 track. It seems it was also pitch-preserved when adjusted to 25 fps.
Both audio tracks sound about the same - great.
