The Criterion DVD sounds okay. I found a Swedish DVD from 2007 that uses the same audio transfer as it, but it's massively clipped and NRed. I'd like to hear the old Madman and Arrow DVDs.

Rififi (1955)
The Gaumont and Arrow blu-rays sound terrible--extremely muffled, high-end almost entirely removed. But the Criterion audio is even worse, being a further filtered version of the Gaumont track.
The Criterion DVD sounds okay. I found a Swedish DVD from 2007 that uses the same audio transfer as it, but it's massively clipped and NRed. I'd like to hear the old Madman and Arrow DVDs.
