While I appreciate that original mix was actually included on the Paramount blu-ray, it doesn't sound nearly as good as a film from 1974 should sound and is rather muffled. The mono track is identical to the one on the first Paramount DVD. The 'restored mono' track on the later Centennial Edition DVD isn't even mono - it's a stereo downmix of the 5.1 remix.
The '91 or '98 Paramount LaserDiscs should sound better, but who knows.
This was restored in 4K recently, a version of which is currently available on iTunes. I suspect that when a UHD disc is inevitably released, the original mix will be left off entirely.
